AT NEW FUTURE FOLK, SUSTAINABILITY ISN’T JUST A BUZZWORD —

It’s the driving force behind everything we do.

Because there aren’t any concrete Australian standards for responsible events - we decided to create sound principles to guide us.

We’re collaborating with industry stakeholders to develop a robust framework for measuring and assessing the environmental impact of events.

Our eight Responsible Event Management (REM) principles are the guiding stars that lead us on our journey to a sustainable future. Working together with our clients, we can make a meaningful impact on the following key areas:

  • We can prioritise partnering with responsible venues that are actively integrating sustainability principles within their business.

  • We promote energy efficiency and increase renewable energy usage where possible.

  • We encourage using water wisely ensuring stewardship of this vital resource.

  • We believe in choosing responsible products, prioritising circular solutions, and supporting BCorps.

  • We choose providers who use locally sourced, organic food and drink choices where available.

  • We seek to reuse items where possible, repurpose food waste, and find circular solutions for other materials.

  • For carbon emissions we can’t eliminate, we invest in offsetting initiatives while also taking a leadership role in driving sustainable change.

  • We’re passionate about partners that do good, and want the world to know about it.
